In some cases, orthognathic surgery may be suggested to correct
major jaw discrepancies (overdeveloped or underdeveloped growth)
or congenital malformations. Orthodontic treatment for these patients
require closely coordinated treatments between Dr. Girgis, the oral
surgeons, general dentists, and other specialties.
